Our client is an international company engaged in the manufacturing of customized costing and paint solutions for a variety of applications ranging from consumer packaging, wood protection and generalized applications to their clients worldwide. With extensive manufacturing operations throughout the Asian region, our client is looking for an experienced manager to lead their commercial operations in Thailand and grow their profitability to the highest potential.

The Commercial Director and take full ownership for all commercial and operational responsibilities for Thailand reporting to the Company’s Chairman based abroad. This will involve taking full P & L responsibility, being an active commercial (sales) leader and overseeing the working capital of a medium sized commercial entity. Additionally the sought after candidate will be responsible to formulate and implement creative annual sales and marketing strategies to meet set targets, while continually seeking new opportunities for new business opportunities and profitability. The Commercial Director will also maintain key relationships with key accounts, lead subordinates in technical and commercial programs to enhance operational efficiency while ensuring high levels of safety and environmental responsibilities and proper profitable business relationships with Thailand’s architectural / design and construction industries to increase brand awareness and product knowledge.

The Commercial Director will be an experienced commercial professional qualified to degree level in a related subject and have at least 10+ years management experience gained within the chemicals and/or coating industry. The sought after candidate must have exceptional negotiation skills, be highly transparent and have a natural ability to lead in a very demanding environment. The Commercial Director must also have proven operational experiences managing a team of technical and sales subordinates, be able to take full control of the country’s business with little supervision. The successful candidate must be able to work in a very demanding business that is constantly bringing new products to the market with state of the art technologies throughout the world.
