Our client is a French pharmaceutical and healthcare company, who specializes in diagnostic solutions and has been established for over 50 years. The business boasts a strong presence in SEA with Thailand being a major emerging market for them that has grown substantially over the past 5 years, and they are now seeking an experienced Business Manager to join their global organization.
The Business Manager will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for all business development activities including researching, planning, developing, and executing marketing opportunities, implementing sales plans, managing sales territories and a cross-functional team. The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the following duties and responsibilities:
- Setting strategy through preparing a plan of action to achieve long-term aim
- Driving targeted sales (double-digit growth) and margin
- Delivering sustainable, profitable, predictable revenues – accountable for achieving sales, profit, and market share targets through a deep understanding of IVD, Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Immuno-Assay market, user, and health care professional needs, and health care policy
- Leading a capable, compliant, and cross functional team responsible for sales, marketing, public affairs, and support
- Effectively Managing Sales & Distribution Channel
- Selling Objectives (MPR), understanding and deploying required support, working with sub-dealers, and meeting customers.
- Periodic Business reviews and timely actions
- Effectively manage marketing activities to ensure required pull – Targeting clinicians, targeting microbiologists, targeting technologists
- Control Costs in line with the annual budget and ensure a rationale spent
Qualifications:
- At least bachelor’s degree in science (microbiology), laboratory technology or business-related field
- At least 7 years in technical, sales and/or marketing in a related industry (Distributor management experience is a plus)
- Good knowledge of the Microbiology IVD Diagnostic market
- Successful track record in Sales within a Matrix organization
- Strong leadership, team building, negotiation, and communication skills
- Good command of both spoken and written Thai and English
- Strong analytical skills with ability to learn quickly new concepts and procedures
- Ability to travel extensively within Thailand and abroad
