Operated for almost 20 years in Thailand, our client has grown exceptionally and now has an opening for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take on a crucial role in the following capacity:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be providing management advice and assistance to the Senior Management Team and Directors on all aspects of Finance, with particular emphasis on the financial implications of business decisions to be made. The overall duties and responsibilities of this sought-after position are outlined as follows:
- Managing all staff within the finance department and be responsible for evaluating the performance of personnel and to ensure that the staff are kept at the highest level of skill necessary to meet the organizations needs and objectives
- Responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial related activities of the company
- Contributing and providing leadership in the development for short and long term strategic financial objectives
- Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets financial trends and forecasts
- Directing and overviewing all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization
- Managing processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the
- company
- Formulating design of financial and accounting system and policies to improve of working procedure, report, and presentation of financial information
- Ensuring the financial records and systems are maintained at a level that complies with the Insurance industry regulations and financial reporting requirements of countries in Southeast Asia
- Ensuring the financial records and systems are maintained at a level to satisfy both internal and external auditors and to take appropriate action to address any audit findings and recommendations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Senior Financial role with proven successful records
- Proven capability in a senior executive commercial role
- Extensive relevant experience in a Management Accounting / Financial Controller role
- High level experience in developing reports reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and financial results
- Highly competent in developing and coordinating budget and forecasting processes
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice on financial and planning
- Demonstrated ability to manage all taxation accounting and statutory accounts preparation and reporting, ensuring compliance with current legislation and standards.
- Highly competent accounting skills as core requirement, including up to date IFRS knowledge base
- Ability to interpret high level statistical and accounting information and offer commercially savvy advice on that basis
- Problem solver, creative, and high attention to details
- Excellent command of both spoken and written Thai and English
- Experience in Food Service and Hospitality or a related sector will be an asset
