Our client is a multinational savory food flavoring and ingredients manufacturer from the Netherlands who sells technically based applications to the world’s food manufacturing sector for more than 40 years. In Thailand, they operate both a manufacturing facility as well as a Regional Sales and R&D Center. Due to the significant growth, our client now has an opening for a Global Purchase Support professional to support with the Purchasing in the following capacity.
The Global Purchase Support Officer will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager, who is based in the Headquater Office overseas, and to the Operations Manager APAC. This sought-after position will be working closely with the R&D team and supporting with the Global Purchasing tasks including local and international sourcing. The overall duties and responsibilities are outlined as follows:
- Introduction of new Raw Materials and packaging
- Sourcing new Raw Materials for development
- Working actively with purchase, development, application and QA
- Active approaching to suppliers with propositions/requisitions
- Identifying issues and opportunities
- Participating in global purchase meetings
- Performing other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, preferably in supply chain related subject
- 2+ years international experience in a related role from a food manufacturer
- Candidates who have a food science degree or have experience purchasing for R&D projects are preferred.
- Background in the food industry, preferably with experience of ingredients
- Experience and knowledge of using SAP is required
- Administrative, record-keeping with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Focus and deadline oriented without compromising the process
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Thai.
