Logistics Specialist – Chemicals (Mandarin & English Speaking) | Samutprakan

Our client is a globally known specialty-chemical manufacturing company who offers a wide range of innovative products and solutions for a diverse range of applications. With their production sites in Europe and Asia and commercial operations in over 90 countries around the world, our client is currently growing their SE Asia manufacturing operations plant in Samut Prakarn and has an opening for a Mandarin & English-speaking logistics professional to take on the following role:

The Logistics Specialist will be reporting to the Logistics Manager and will be accountable for supporting the local Finished Goods (FG) stock replenishment in Thailand and ensuring efficient delivery of material to the Asian market. This sought-after candidate is required to be fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English and will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

• Responsible to grant a reliable OTIF service levels while optimizing the inventory in line with given targets
• In charge of providing the best material availability to Customer request
• Involving in supporting Sales on local allocation / escalation issues
• Guaranteeing stable Logistic lead-times
• Ensuring an efficient alignment on the operation Activities in the Local WH/DC
• In charge of the Local Intercompany ordering process
• Guaranteeing an optimum and cost-effective utilization of the transport network / methods
• Aiming to constantly define, negotiate and maintain the most effective cost / service solution with the logistic service providers
• Responsible for 3^rd party customer order management: confirm stock availability and shipment delivery date to Customer Service team
• Coordinating with sales and Customer Service teams to provide realistic sales forecast
• Improving forecast accuracy to ensure on time supply and an efficient production plan
• Compiling sales data for financial dept. and sales teams to analyze
• Trucks arrangement with transportation company
• Responsible for goods receipt and issue in SAP timely and maintaining SAP data accurate

Qualifications required:

• Qualified to a degree level in Logistics or related subject of study.
• At least 5+ years of Logistics experience for Specialist level and 10+ years for Senior Specialist level
• Work experience in a multinational chemical’s organization with knowledge in material import and export in Asian Countries is highly preferred
• Possess a solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
• Fluent in both spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English
• SAP knowledge required.
