Our client is a multinational savory food flavoring and ingredients manufacturer from the Netherlands who sells technically based applications to the world’s food manufacturing sector for more than 40 years. In Thailand, they operate both a manufacturing facility as well as a Regional Sales and R&D Center. Due to the significant growth, our client now has an opening for an experienced QA Plant Manager to manage, implement, and improve the quality management systems and to oversee quality-related personnel.
The QA Plant Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the management of the Quality Systems and all personnel involved in quality and GMP activities. This includes overseeing the quality management system, product quality, and managing safety-related matters. team. This will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Become the primary contact for Quality matters for customers and various certification bodies, including ISO, BRC, Hala, Kosher, GMP, etc.
- Ensure quality control procedures are established, followed, and maintained for in-process and finished product inspections.
- Conduct regular food testing to assess quality.
- Enhance and maintain the current Quality Management System by coordinating and overseeing suitable procedures and maintaining document control.
- Coordinate and perform internal audits and advise preventative/ corrective actions based on the reports.
- Manage product quality by addressing any Quality issues and complaints promptly and guaranteeing that all shipments to customers adhere to their expectations and product specifications.
- Assess and validate test protocols and plans, ensuring adequate and well-maintained lab equipment.
- Promote a culture of ongoing and proactive quality control throughout all processes.
- Oversee Safety, Health, and Environment matters, including mitigating risks and establishing an effective safety and environmental reporting system with thorough investigations and measures to prevent recurrence.
- Establish positive relationships with authorities, customers, and team members.
- Take the initiative to lead and support team members throughout day-to-day operations and projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in Quality Management System within the Food Industry, preferably with Audit experience.
- Proficient in SAP program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Thai.
- Knowledge of ISO, GMP/HACCP, HALAL, KOSHER, and other food safety requirements.
- Strong leadership skills and prior experience in managing teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and relationship building skills at multiple levels.
- Pro-active, hands-on, and independent worker.
