Senior IT Project Manager – Banking

Our client is a global IT firm who provides an end-to-end IT consulting services and solutions, ranging from software consultancy to business transformations, to their clients from various industries. Established over 30 years ago, our client is currently having a global workforce of over 100,000 professionals working in 40 offices across five continents and they are now seeking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to serve one of their major clients from banking sector in the following capacity.

 

The Senior IT Project Manager will be leading the assigned Banking project and developing and executing the overall project plan. The duties of this sought-after position will include stakeholder management, scope management, Risk and Issue management, as well as the following responsibilities:

  • Leading the project to track the quality, scope, timeline, effort, resources
  • Analyzing project proposals which impacts the schedule and budget variance which in turn contribute to meeting the overall objectives of the project
  • Identifying and scheduling project deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks
  • Working hand in hand with Business Project Managers to manage project stakeholders and relationships. Ensuring teams work in a collaborative environment
  • Managing all changes to the agreed scope of work. Reviewing and assessing all changes and impact to timeline and ensure all changes are approved by PSC
  • Preparing investment approval deck and managing approval of project by ITC/TPWC.
  • Managing overall project risk, track risk aging, work through escalations, change governance and related issues. Implement the risk mitigation plans
  • Partnering with relevant stakeholders in ensuring that the system development methodology is followed, and the relevant artefacts are delivered on time with quality, in adherence to the development methodology/approach
  • Measuring, monitoring, and reporting progress to stakeholders at various levels of organization across the enterprise with the right quality, consistency in content.
  • Implementing project communication plan and reviewing status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of IT experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
  • Strong business domain knowledge in banking, especially for deposit, card, investment, loan, and retail credit
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in successfully utilizing soft skills or people skills
  • Knowledge of project planning tools. Familiar with and able to apply project management methodologies (for example, PMI, Prince II and agile)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a project resource plan
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Thai, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish rapport and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
