Software Development Project Manager – Energy

Our client is a multinational technology company that services the international oil and gas market sector. Established over 30 years ago and currently having a global workforce of over 2,000 professionals over 4 continents, our client is expanding their operations in SE Asia and currently has an opening opportunity for an experienced Software Development Project Manager to take on a rare and interesting challenge in the following capacity.

The Project Manager will be managing day-to-day activities for multiple concurrent Software Development projects and working with cross-functional teams focused on project delivery. The overall duties and responsibilities of this sought-after position are outlined as follows:

• Monitoring project delivery from initiation through completion to meet revenue and cost projections
• Formulating goals, identifying key stakeholders, and managing project risk and issuing resolution for conflicting priorities
• Tracking, monitoring, and reporting activities. Analyzing results. Presenting insights and best practices.
• Developing, monitoring, and reviewing project budgets. Verifying expenditures vs. actual and explaining variances
• Working with the PMO to coordinate and administer assignments, monitor team progress, and maintain schedules
• Developing, implementing, documenting procedures. Adhering to corporate communication standards and procedures. Obtaining and providing required approvals
• Developing team members and providing ongoing professional guidance and direction
• Fostering key relationships with sales, development, support; acting as a liaison between cross-functional groups as a champion for the customer
• Assisting the Sales Process by participating in customer engagement activities such as demonstrations, determining services estimates, and contributing to Proposals/Tenders/Scope of Work documents for project design and implementation

Qualification

• Qualified to degree level in computer science or related subject
• 5+ years of experience in project management role, preferably gained within the Energy sector
• Proven experience in software development
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Thai
• Able to travel frequently to Chonburi, Thailand, as part of the normal job requirements
