With an international presence in over 150 countries and a sizable presence in SE Asia, Thailand has been recently targeted as a growth market and they there is an opportunity for an experience candidate to lead their commercial operations in Thailand in the following role:
The Country Manager will assume a newly created role in our client’s Thailand organization candidate will report to expatriate Vice President of Asia based abroad and be responsible for leading, researching, planning, developing and executing marketing opportunities, implementing sales strategies to increase our client’s market share. This will involve the following key responsibilities:
Have full responsibilities for our client microbiology and testing services in Thailand.
Drive targeted sales and margins within Thailand,
Deliver sustainable, profitable, predictable revenues and hands on management of team.
Accountable for achieving sales, profit and market share targets through a deep understanding of IVD, Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Immuno-Assay market, user, and health care professional needs, and health care policy
Lead a capable, compliant and cross functional team responsible for Sales, Marketing, Public Affairs and Support
Effectively manage sales & distribution channel – selling objectives, understanding and deploying required support, working with sub-dealers and meeting customers
Periodic Business reviews and timely actions
Effectively Manage Marketing Activities
Control Costs in line with the annual budget and ensure a rationale spent
Qualified to graduate degree level in a science related subject candidates (biotechnology, bioengineering) or related field of study.
10+ years of working experience in Technical, Sales and/or Marketing in a related industry, with good knowledge of the local biotechnology / microbiology market.
Relevant experience (business development, people manager, scientific sales, distribution partnership management, or other customer facing commercial roles)
Experience in dealing with government bodies, multiple large and complex projects
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, in English and Thai
Systematic problem solving by working with customers and internal team.
Must be self-motivated and enjoy challenges.
Ability to travel internationally as needed
