Our client is a global manufacturer of food ingredients with an emphasis on confectionary and fat/oil applications for large industries/manufacturers in the global food sector. With annual revenues exceeding 1.2 Billion Euros, our client has built up an extensive network of distributors and importers in over 100 countries worldwide. Now, they are seeking for a high-performing Country Sales Director to assist and manage the sales team of the company’s sales and commercial activities in Thailand in the following role:
COUNTRY SALES DIRECTOR – BAKERY / FOOD INGREDIENTS
The Country Sales Director will report to the Regional Sales Director in Singapore. and be responsible for managing our client’s sales of bakery and confectionary product in Thailand. This will involve creating sales budgets, building profitable business relationships, and understanding customer trends in the food sector. The successful candidate will play a key part in the continued development of our client’s food service business in Thailand that will include the following key responsibilities
Own and exceed annual sales targets within assigned territories and accounts
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base in Thailand
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with Thailand food industry sector that will include commercial end customers (manufactures) and food ingredient distributors.
Manage and develop a professional and understanding partnership with distributors and industrial customers to recognize their business needs and objectives
Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations within Thailand’s food industry.
Leading the sales team with energy and motivation with a hands-on/ modern transparent management style.
Qualified to degree level, preferably in a Food Science, Arts, or Science or related subject of study
10+ years of experience in sales and sales team management, preferably in the confectionary/bakery/food industry.
Demonstrable experience as a head of sales, developing client-focused strategy, differentiated and achievable solutions
Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and chief officer
Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
Proven ability to position products against other key players in the market
Good level of English is minimum requirement: Good verbal and written communications skills
