Our client is a global manufacturer of food ingredients with an emphasis on confectionery and fat/oil applications for large industries/manufacturers in the global food sector. With annual revenues exceeding 1.2 Billion Euros, our client has built up an extensive network of distributors and importers in over 100 countries worldwide. Due to a recent expansion of their Bangkok office of operation there is an opening for an experienced supply chain professional to take on the following role:
LOGISTICS SPECIALIST – FOOD MANUFACTURING
The Logistics Specialist will report to the Sales Director. And we are looking for a smart candidate that will support the company management in performing their key responsibilities particularly for what is concerning import of goods, sales pricing and logistic that will include the following key responsibilities:
To facilitate the smooth timely issuance of the purchase orders to the mother company and to other group subsidiary factories in accordance with the sales planning.
To support the operation manager in handling import shipping documents, such as invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading, certificate of origin and similar and to supply accounts with the relevant information.
To be responsible for the sales price calculation and preparation of the price lists to facilitate the sales team selling activity.
Any other duty connected to order placement and back office function.
Delivery goods to domestic and international customers.
To monitor changes in transportation, shipping law and regulation, GDP, customs and Trade compliance.
Manage inventory levels to optimal levels to ensure inventories are maintained.
To verify inventory transactions by coordinating with Supply Chain, Accounting, Commercial operation and reconcile inventory report at end of month
5+ years of experience in logistics management field
Qualified to degree level, preferably in a Food Science, Arts, or Science or related subject of study
At least 5 years in import / export / Logistics Management preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
Have knowledge in regulation of the Customs Department and BOI will be advantage.
Able to operate on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Able to work under pressure with positive attitude and service mindset
Good English Communication Skills
English is minimum requirement: Good verbal and written communications skills
