​Our client is one of the world’s largest packaging equipment manufacturer and automation companies that automates and sells the packaging solutions for the world’s most famous brands. With a presence in Thailand for the past 15 years our client’s Thailand operations center now serves as their Reginal HQ’s and has an operating for an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to take on the following role

This sought-after Occupational Health and Safety Specialist will be reporting to the SHE Director, who is based abroad and the Managing Director, who is based in Thailand. This position will be an individual contributor, who will be responsible for the site OHS management system development and maintenance, as well as driving continuous improvement towards the global goal of zero accidents and work-related ill health, and will also involve the following main responsibilities:

  • Assisting with Safety, Health and Environment key performance indicators in the factory

  • Executing and implementing the Environment, Health and Safety programs and policies

  • Supporting to maintain the system of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001 system

  • Ensuring Environment, Health and Safety hazards and aspects are appropriately identified and managed to acceptable levels of risk, and conducting related training

  • Assisting the SHE pillars leader to drive zero accidents and SHE improvement project in the factory

  • Assisting in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessment to support Health, Safety and Environmental management, and in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations

  • Maintaining relevant SHE documentation and preparing applicable SHE reports, as necessary

  • Participating in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis

  • Promoting incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors

  • Observing and promoting SHE regulations

  • Maintaining positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety

  • Possess at least 2 years of experience in OHS role within the manufacturing environment

  • Ability to lead key elements of the site OHS management system, and experience in implementing or maintaining the ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OHSAS 18001 system

  • Knowledge and deep understanding in the relevant Environment Functional area, production process and WCM safety rules will be preferred

  • Good Command in Spoken and Written both English and Thai
