Our client is a globally known multinational clothing and accessories retailer that currently operates over 3,100 retail stores internationally. With brands that are widely well known, and stores that are continually growing into new market, our client is at the forefront of the fashion industry and continually entering and dominating new markets. Due to an overwhelming demand for their products, our client is aggressively expanding their SE Operations and is seeking an experienced Online Merchandiser to join their global organization.
ONLINE MERCHANDISER – FASHION
Online Merchandiser will report directly to the Head of Commercial and assume the following key responsibilities:
Build product assortments that meet Online global needs
Identify Online product opportunities and is an expert in competitive / e-commerce landscape.
Partner with the store’s Online Buying on seasonal investment strategy to ensure big ideas and growth drivers are protected.
Own Global Assortment input and updates for all online exclusive products.
Communicate Online seasonal strategies in a collaborative way to key cross functional team to ensure financial success as a focus.
Raise nuances / adjustments to product strategy for Online business.
Analyze and recaps the store’s Online category business to the Head of Merchandising.
Communicate a point of view regarding Online business and recommendations on go forward plan.
Contribute to optimizing product data such as titles and descriptions.
Create and implement department fillers and content boxes that features relevant content and complementary products.
Create effective content that eliminates confusion and educates consumer with purchase decisions.
Identify opportunity and implement product photography changes together with the Online visual team.
Is aware of the buying and brick-and-mortar marketing activity, product priorities and product inventory availability and creates trading plans to drive online marketing activity to reflect the omni-channel strategy.
Reviews daily and weekly sales trends, identifying areas of weakness, proposing and taking action to increase sales.
Continually review merchandising of site searches, navigation and listings and proposing actions were required to maximize sales using the merchandising systems.
Establish strong working relationships with all other functions within the Omni-channel Commercial Team.
Strategize and assist in building weekly / monthly merchandise calendar while maintaining an acute awareness of the competitive landscape. The strategy will develop, communicate, and drive seasonal business and assortment strategy to meet financial targets and customer expectations.
4 – 6 years of experience preferably in an online / eCommerce company.
Strong computer skills that includes use of spreadsheets, documents, and multiple internal programs
Experience in E-commerce /Digital Global Merchandising and supporting the development and execution of global e-commerce or omni merchandising strategies is preferred
Able to work in a high speed and work-load environment while maintaining composure
International experience preferred
