​Our client is a public sector entity of the Hong Kong Government that was established to promote trade and investments throughout the world. Run as a commercial entity outside of the Hong Kong Government our client’s operations work on bilateral trade and promotions to market and promote Hong Kong to business throughout the world. Due to the recent establishment of their Bangkok office they are looking for an experienced communication-based marketer to take on the following role

PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER – DIPLOMATIC / GOVERNMENT TRADE

The Public Relationship Manager should work under the supervision of the Director, Deputy Directors and Head (Public Relations) and may subject to the operational needs, be deployed on the following functional areas:

  • To assist in planning and implementing promotional events, cultural projects, seminars, and other projects

  • To assist in monitoring media coverage of and conducting research

  • To assist in answering media and public enquiries

  • To assist in establishing and cultivating relationship with key media representatives and to help explore media opportunities, including writing and issuing press releases and feature articles to the media

  • To assist in identifying/organizing speaking platforms for the Director and his Deputies

  • To help prepare media summaries and clippings, bi-monthly reports, press releases, newsletters, and other publicity materials.

  • To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.

Qualifications:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in media studies or related field

  • 4+ years of PR/ Marketing Communication based working experienced preferably in the public / government sector or related field.

  • Sound knowledge of common business software, such as Microsoft Words, Power Point and Excel, etc.

  • Strong media relationships with vast media sources.

  • Very good English communications written and spoken is a must.
