A Michelin Start Japanese restaurant has recently opened up in the heart of Bangkok. Their approach to innovative dining concepts has already made the restaurant one of the go-to places for their high-profile customers. Due to an overwhelming demand and booking throughout the end of the year, our client is looking for an experienced Japanese Sous Chef to take a leadership role in their renowned Japanese Restaurant as follows:
SOUS CHEF – JAPANESE CUISINE
BANGKOK UP TO 60K/MONTH++
The Sous Chef will report to the Japanese Executive Chef and will be required to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:
Assist in the Management of all kitchen operations
Ability to create and promote Chef’s specials
Ability train all Kitchen Staff to the highest culinary level to meet with our client’s international l quality standard and menu recipes.
Control food quality and final products to strict quality standards.
Manage and control costs and profitability at the agreed levels
Manage Health & Hygiene and Safety standards to the highest levels
Provides training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff
Develops standard recipes and techniques for food preparation which help to assure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs and spoilage.
Degree in Culinary Arts or related subject.
3 years + of experiences in a similar position preferably in a high end Japanese care/restaurant
Strong background in Japanese (Sushi / Hot Cuisine) is expected
Previous experience in a Michelin Star restaurant is preferred
Good English communication skills.
