Internal Audit Manager - Retailer

Our client is a globally known multinational clothing and accessories retailer that currently operates over 3,100 retail stores internationally. With brands that are widely well known, and stores that are continually growing into new market, our client is at the forefront of the fashion industry and continually entering and dominating new markets. Due to an overwhelming demand for their products, our client is aggressively expanding their SE Operations and is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to take on a newly created role as follows.

The Audit Manager will report to the expatriate Chief Financial Officer and manage a small team of auditing specialists and be responsible for the following main work responsibilities:

· Develop audit programs to assess internal risks and controls; review and perform tasks to ensure comprehensible documentation of audit findings.

· Work with management and other members of the audit team to recommend ways to drive efficiencies and reduce risk in order to make a positive impact on the company’s bottom line.

· Execute special assignments independently for areas assigned, and under supervision for assignments of a more complex nature.

· Prepare clear working papers that facilitate independent reviews for all Internal Audit.

· Assist in drafting the full reports for the Internal Audit assignments.

· Review evidence submitted by management for follow-up reviews.

· Assist in the annual audit planning (compilation of data for the risk based annual audit plan).

· Supervise junior auditors to ensure professional standards and success of internal projects.

Qualifications and Skills

· Qualified to degree level in an Accounting or related subject of study with preference to those with graduate level academic degrees.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in audit or consultancy preferred.

· CPA or CIA preferred.

· Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent active listening, written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency in the English Language.

· Great team player with ability to work independently when necessary.

· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
