Senior Trade Advisor - Embassy / Trade Commission

Bangkok / Up to 175,000 THB/Month

Our client is a public sector entity of one of the Asian Government that was established to promote trade and investments throughout the world. Run as a commercial entity outside of the Government’s authority, our client’s operations work on bilateral trade and promotions to market and promote the country's business throughout the world. Due to the recent establishment of their Bangkok office, they are looking for an experienced Senior Trade Advisor to take on the following role.

This sought-after candidate will be working within local and overseas teams to analyze and promote trade relations with various stakeholders. The Senior Trade Advisor will be engaging in strategic planning and execution of investment promotion activities to responsible attract and support companies to set up or expand and this position will also involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Assisting in driving the promotion work and in implementing the annual geographic business plan for promoting inward investment
  • Devising the list of target companies
  • Proactively reaching out to target companies via conducting marketing activities and promotional campaigns as well as individual company visits
  • Developing links and networks with business multiplier organizations and identifying opportunities that can help raise the profile
  • Supporting related activities as and when required


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or International Marketing (a higher degree would be an advantage)
  • 5+ years of experience in International Sales and/or business development experience
  • Previous experience in foreign direct investment promotion or economic development, at a managerial position, is preferred.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and fluent communication in Thai.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of Thailand economy and an experience of living and/or doing business trade in Thailand and other Asia Countries.
  • Sound knowledge of common business software, such as Microsoft Words, Power Point and Excel, etc.
