Business Development Manager - Packaging

Our client is one of the world’s largest films solutions companies who manufactures multi-purpose standard and specialty films for the food packaging, labels, industrial and graphic arts applications. Established in Dubai for more than 10 years, our client has become one of the world’s leading packaging films suppliers in the market and has expanded their manufacturing capacity to more than 10 facilities to six continents across the world. Due to an overwhelming demand and continuous growth, our client now has an operating for an experienced Business Development Manager to take on the following role

The Business Development Manager will mainly be responsible for the SEA sales and will be reporting to the Business Development Manager, who is based in Dubai. This sought-after position will be promoting the company’s goods and services to key customers in order to achieve set sales targets, and will also involve the following main responsibilities:

  • Developing sales of the company’s new and existing products and establishing the company’s technical and supply resources to ensure the company continues to provide best possible value for key customer accounts
  • Managing converter, end users and industry partners in food, labels and industrial segments
  • Planning and organizing marketing activities
  • Managing day-to-day sales, technical, quality and service activities, as well as submitting regular reports on sales and related market activities
  • Managing, in conjunction with Technical Services, the resolution of customer complaints and ensures timely cause and corrective action reports are issued
  • Assisting in the collection of customer debts as required
  • Complying with all the requirements relevant to the position of Key Account Executive regarding the use of intellectual property and observing confidentiality laws
  • Undertaking all company activities in a safe and professional manner, complying with the Code of Conduct at all times

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any field (business management or related)
  • 7+ years of relevant working experience in sales or marketing (technical sales roles or advanced knowledge of the flexible packaging or labelling industries is a plus)
  • Experience in relevant industries (packaging technology, business, chemistry, sales & marketing) is preferred
  • Excellent command in both written and spoken English with an exceptional communication skills
  • Possess customer service and negotiation skills
  • Ability to interpret specifications and standards and relay information in simple terms to stakeholders
  • Capacity to further develop abilities enabling flexibility in future role definition and responsibility
  • Willingness and ability to travel (national/international) as required
