Program Manager – NGO

Outside Bangkok / UP TO 130,000/Month

Our client is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) who has started off as a consortium of 10 universities from four countries, including Thailand, in Southeast Asia, who collaborate to build One Health capacity and academic partnerships with government, national and regional stakeholders in the Southeast Asian region. Established 10 years ago, our client now has expanded their network membership to more than 90 universities in eight countries and has continuously promoted and developed the idea of One Health approach, with support from the U.S. Agency for International Development. For the sustained and persistent development of the program, our client has an opening for an experienced Program Manager to take on the following role.

The Program Manager will be providing daily program management of the One Health Workforce, and supervising officers under the program division to ensure their successful implementation. This sought-after position will be reporting directly to the Executive Director and will be assuming the following key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with the foundation’s small grants program
  • Providing programmatic management of the subawards and contracts with country networks
  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager to ensure efficient management of subaward agreements
  • Collaborating with the coordinators and relevant staff of the country networks to develop new regional programs/initiatives to advance the development of One Health workforce
  • Facilitating monthly management meetings with country networks and supporting coordination of global-level activities with the consortium
  • Providing technical support when needed to enhance capacity of country networks to develop and manage its country-level programs and activities
  • Contributing to the development of the foundation (and related) annual reports and to the communication activities and the efforts to increase organizational visibility
  • Coordinating and maintain effective working relationships with program/project stakeholders


  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in healthcare related field from a recognized college or university
  • 4+ years of progressive work experience in health-related areas, preferably on One Health issues in Southeast Asia
  • Practical experience providing technical support to government agencies, intergovernmental agencies, academic universities, or NGOs is required
  • Experience working in Southeast Asian countries is preferred
  • Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, as well strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with USAID-funded projects is highly desirable
  • Experience in writing proposals and resource mobilization is strongly preferred
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google, email, and Internet navigation
  • Willingness to undertake regional travels
