Sales Director - Online Media/Advertising

Our client is a private advertising firm established in North America that specializes in the online/digital space well known for generating and selling content to drive traffic to generate substantial revenues for their clients internationally. Partnering with publishers and media companies across the globe our client currently employs over 20,000 people in 20 offices across the globe. With a Regional Operations center located in Central Bangkok our client is seeking an experienced sales leader to take on the following role:

The Sales Director w will report to the expatriate Country Manager and lead our client’s Sales and Account Management teams in Thailand with the expectation of generating and maintaining profitable key accounts and profitability in Thailand. The role’s main responsibility will be to expand our client business in the country by creating a sales strategy to define roadmap, build partnerships, and generate revenue.

  • Sell multiple products to clients by finding the right stakeholders for each product, without digressing from a coherent product message and overall strategy
  • Generate new business and manage a robust pipeline and accurately forecast new business closure rate
  • Close business with both publishers and advertisers. Manage pipeline and forecasts
  • Strategy development – build strategic partnerships with customers.
  • Identifying the right stakeholders for each product without digressing from a coherent product message and overall strategy
  • Have an excellent understanding of digital advertising technology, video, and publisher revenue ecosystem to be able to explain product benefits within this context
  • Work closely with the head of the region to consistently achieve and exceed revenue goals
  • Interact with Account Manager and our project implementation team to effectively manage client expectations
  • Oversee all operations within Thailand including taking responsibility for sales, trade shows, roadshows, and quality targets set by the company

Qualifications

  • Thai National
  • Qualified to degree level in a related subject of study
  • +7 years of sales experience preferably within the media / and or online digital space.
  • Proven ability to penetrate new markets and learn a new industry
  • Experience independently building, pursuing and closing a large pipeline of leads
  • Excellent networking skills with a proven ability to develop long-lasting relationships with customers
  • Ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service
  • A solid understanding of budgeting and business planning is essential
  • Have excellent English communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Willingness to travel.

Salary: Up to 200k/month
