Trade Advisor - Trade Commission

Our client is a non-profit and government-sponsored organization from Singapore, who was established to promote trade, investment, and industrial relations throughout the world. Established in Singapore for over 5 years, our client’s operations have worked with Singapore companies to expand abroad, with many benefits provided from the government, and has established an operation in Thailand. Due to their recent plan to set up office in Bangkok, they are looking for an experienced Market Advisor to take on the crucial roles

This sought-after candidate will be reporting to the Expatriated Country Manager for Thailand and will be responsible for the helping Singapore Businesses expand in Thailand, as well as gathering market intelligence and insights on potential business opportunities for Singaporean businesses. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and assisting Singapore enterprises with enquiries like setting up, registration, licensing, recruitment of local staff, etc.
  • Coordinating and assisting Singapore enterprises that are conducting their own ground feasibility
  • study by providing relevant contacts and information
  • Working with Enterprise Singapore’s office in the market to handle enquiries
  • Weekly updating on latest trend, policy changes and opportunities in the market
  • Arranging relevant meetings with partners in the business and government circle
  • Providing Business Matching Service and arranging business meetings
  • Developing a network of partners in the market who are able to assist Singapore enterprises in their market entry needs


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or International Marketing (a higher degree would be an advantage)
  • 2-3 years of full-time work experience in facilitating business and market facilitation / investment or trade promotion
  • Knowledge of and experience in market / business facilitation is a plus
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Thai
  • Sound knowledge of common business software, such as Microsoft Words, Power Point and Excel, etc.
