Quality Assurance Specialist - Chinese Speaking

Our client is an international company that is a leading supplier of food processing solutions headquartered in the United Kingdom. Known globally as a company that continually continues to reinvent itself and deliver best-in-class solutions with a culture of innovation and high levels of client satisfaction our client’s Thailand organization is seeking an experienced Chinese Speaking Food Science Professional to take up a relocation role to manage our client’s QA Chinese Based Manufacturing in mainland China in the following role.

The sought-after candidate will report to the Technical Manager and take responsibility for the quality of finished food products at various contract manufacturing operations in Qingdao, China for a period of 1-2 years as an expatriate. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Product inspection. To ensure that products, specification, quality are consistently and comply with food safety, food quality and legally to meet customer standard.
  • Participation in factory audit, GMP, and follow up non conformances.
  • Coordination to external service / supplier. E.g., laboratories, ingredient house, packaging.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of GMP/HACCP/ FSSC 22000 / BRC/ISO or other important standardization has complied.
  • Providing quality-related technical services, oversee the special projects as assigned, and participate in the review of product quality and process control issues.
  • Providing support for released products, evaluate product field performance and reliability.
  • Communicating closely with production and related regarding acceptance, rejection, and disposition of raw materials and finished product.
  • Investigating and responding to quality-related customer complaints.
  • Managing laboratory safety and Supporting to commercial, NPD department and customer for technical information

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to degree level in a related field such as Food Science, Biotechnology, Food engineering.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food standard system.
  • Have at least 1-5 years’ experience in QA/ QC in food industry in the Poultry sector.
  • Good command in English and able to read/write Mandarin are preferred.
  • Ability to work with different cultures.
  • Able to relocate to China for a period of 1-2 years.
  • Flexibility for extended travels and working hours.
