Technical Sales Manager – Fragrance Applications

Bangkok / UP TO 120K/MONTH

Our client is a multinational food flavouring and ingredients company which is headquartered in Japan with over 12,000 employees and one of the most well-known food and flavouring companies. In Thailand the company operates a regional sales and R&D center in Bangkok with a sizable number of employees servicing their clients in the Indochina region our client is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to head their fragrance sales division in the following role:

He/she will be required to fulfil the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Find ways to win new accounts and develop relationships with existing accounts.
  • Collect market intelligence to understand customer buying decisions and support developing sales strategies.
  • Work to ensure customer satisfaction, identify opportunities to up-sell, organize and lead periodical account reviews, effectively communicate with commercial team to resolve customer issues, maintain a database of current and potential clients, and provide substantial information relating to sales plans and reports.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics.
  • Produce a customer business action plan, including setting objectives and targets.
  • Find effective ways to promote new products to customers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, accounts receivable etc.
  • Coordinate regularly with the overseas HQ to report progress.
  • Set the sales budgets and targets for the local team.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to degree level in any subject (Food Science, Chemical, Biotechnology, etc.)
  • Track record of 5 + years sales experience within the technical fragrance sector. Those with proven sales achievements selling into the FMCG Personal Care and other relevant sectors are preferred,
  • Engaging personality and proactive attitude to win new business.
  • Learning-oriented, a team player, service minded, schematic, enthusiastic, and ambitious.
  • Good problem-solver and possess leadership skill.
  • Well organized and capable of drawing relevant insights to meet the client’s expectations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
