Our client is a tech start up with operations spanned across several key markets in South East Asia that includes Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia within the technology sector. Established in Singapore several years ago, our client has rapidly expanded their operations and are now present in SE Asia’s main markets and there in an opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take on the following role:
People Operations Manager – Tech Start Up
The sought-after candidate will report to the expatriate Country Manager and also to the Regional People Manager based abroad and play a key role in managing the HR operations and processes of our client established technology company in Bangkok. The role will be the lead HR colleague in the company in Thailand as well as play an important part in collaborating in regional people-based initiatives with our client's other operations in South East Asia. This will involve the following overall key responsibilities:
Recruitment and Retention, Employee Relations, Compliance, Compensation & Benefits
Talent development and Training
HR strategies in close collaboration with the business leaders by providing guidance
Development and administration of HR policies and procedures, employee records and reporting
Drive a cultural change in the organization to become a high performing organization by applying company's Vision & Mission
Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Developing and monitoring overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
Supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
Preparing mid-term and long-term manpower plans.
Managing the recruitment and selection process (for permanent, sub-contract and outsourcing).
Providing fair and effective compensation systems with competitive compensation structure.
Maintaining pay plans and benefits programs.
Overseeing and managing both potential and performance appraisal systems that drive high performance, employee relations and employee union management.
Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or any related field.
At least 6 years in a senior professional or middle management role preferably with a tech start up or related sector (eCommerce, etc.)
Good knowledge of Thai Labor Protection Law, Revenue Acts, Social Security, Provident Fund.
Possess good HRM knowledge, good employee relation skills planning & organizing, communication and foresight competency skills.
Good presentation and negotiation skills.
Very good English
