Logistics Operations Manager – Electronics Manufacturing - Smart Search Recruitment

One of their business units is at the forefront of innovation, supporting leading semiconductor manufacturers with critical solutions in power, automation, safety, and operational efficiency. With primary production facilities based in North America, the company has expanded into Asia by establishing its first manufacturing site in Thailand. Currently, they are seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to support day-to-day operations of a newly set up manufacturing plant. 

The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a distribution/warehouse facility, overseeing order fulfillment, receiving, shipping, inventory, quality, and customer service. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

•  Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, order fulfillment, shipping, inventory, and quality management.

• Ensure orders and shipments are completed accurately and on time while maintaining high service standards.

• Manage warehouse capacity, inventory levels, working capital, and operational resources.

• Lead, coach, train, and performance-manage operations employees and support staff.

• Establish and monitor operational KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve productivity and service quality.

• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency through LEAN methodologies.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, ISO standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.

• Maintain a safe, secure, inclusive, and well-organized warehouse environment.

• Oversee facility infrastructure and equipment, including material-handling equipment, racking, machinery, and preventative maintenance.

• Manage facility operating expenses, P&L performance, and annual budgeting.

• Work closely with Sales and leadership to align operational capacity with customer demand and business strategy.

• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and other support functions.

• Maintain the facility to a professional, customer- and audit-ready standard.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain & Logistics, Management, or related field required.

• At least 5 years of hands-on operations experience within a warehouse or distribution center environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.

• Proven experience in managing and developing teams of individual contributors.

• Strong understanding of warehouse, inventory, fulfillment, and distribution operations.

• Experience with KPI Management, LEAN improvement, safety, and compliance.

• Exposure to budgeting, cost control, and P&L Management.

• Proactive in identifying issues and implementing sustainable solutions.

• Effective communicator, able to work with stakeholders across different functions and backgrounds.

• Strong leadership skills and able to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
