Stock Controller - Food Manufacturing - Smart Search Recruitment

Our client is a leading bakery and food manufacturing company with a strong international presence, specializing in premium bakery products. They serve clients in the retail, food service, hospitality, and professional customers across global markets. Our client combines traditional French craftsmanship with modern production capabilities to deliver high-quality bakery products to customers worldwide. They are currently seeking an experienced Stock Controller to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock level accuracy.

The Stock Controller will manage inventory accuracy across raw materials, packaging, Work-in-progress, and finished goods. This involves monitoring stock movements, investigating discrepancies, and working closely with relevant departments to ensure effective inventory control. This will involve the following key responsibilities:

• Monitor and control inventory levels across all materials and goods, ensuring accurate recording of all stock movements in the system.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and variances, identify root causes and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare inventory reports, stock variance analysis and other inventory-control reports.
• Ensure proper application of FIFO/FEFO, particularly for food ingredients and products with expiry dates.
• Monitor expiry dates, slow-moving, obsolete and damaged stock and escalate potential risks.
• Manage inventory adjustments, write-offs and disposals in line with company procedures.
• Verify goods receipts and inventory transactions against purchase orders, production orders and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end inventory closing processes, stock counts, and internal/external audits.
• Maintain accurate inventory documentation and compliance with company procedures. 
• Work with Production Planning to ensure material availability while controlling excess stock.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency and stock visibility.
• Ensure stock-control activities comply with food safety, quality, hygiene and traceability standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 year of inventory, stock or warehouse control within a strong background in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in food manufacturing, food processing, bakery, FMCG, or other regulated manufacturing sectors strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). 
• Strong Excel, analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail. 
• Good understanding of FIFO/FEFO, inventory reconciliation and warehouse processes.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
• Experience within a multinational or international manufacturing organization is an advantage.
• Proficient in both Thai and English communication (written and verbal).
