Our client is a leading manufacturer and marketer of building materials in ASEAN, established in 1979 and serving a broad range of industries, including residential and commercial construction, industrial manufacturing, automotive parts, electrical appliances, and medical equipment. They are currently seeking an experienced Export Sales Manager to drive export sales growth in Thailand.
The Export Sales Manager is responsible for driving the achievement of export sales and marketing targets for glass wool insulation products in Thailand. This role coordinates shipment schedules and export administration, including credit control and account collections, while leading the team to ensure smooth and stable day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Build and sustain strong relationships between the company and clients across the designated territory to help meet export and marketing targets for glass wool insulation.
- Monitor sales performance closely and maintain regular, proactive contact with assigned customer accounts.
- Cultivate positive, long-term customer relationships by providing appropriate technical and operational support.
- Negotiate export sales agreements, draft sales contracts as required, and issue Proforma Invoices.
- Oversee export operations – including shipment scheduling, production monitoring, invoicing, shipment volumes, and customs procedures – with support from export administration staff.
- Manage credit control and account collections for customers.
- Investigate and resolve product- or service-related complaints, coordinating with relevant company staff as needed.
- Undertake overseas travel to meet with international customers, subject to company approval.
- Research the needs of prospective customers and glass wool products, and report findings and recommendations to supervisors and relevant staff.
- Maintain in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products and their technical specifications.
- Track industry trends, competitor activity, and alternative insulation materials (e.g., foil, rockwool, calcium silicate, ceramic fiber, silica fiber, rubber foam, plastic foam, PS foam, PU foam), along with related construction materials (roofing, wall, and ceiling products) and developments in target export markets.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor when appropriate.
- Propose, implement, and evaluate improvement initiatives aligned with company goals.
- Uphold ethical standards, professionalism, and discipline among team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or export functions, preferably within the building materials, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding export sales targets, ideally with experience managing international or regional accounts.
- Working knowledge of export documentation, shipment scheduling, customs procedures, and international trade terms (e.g., Incoterms) is a strong advantage.
- Strong command of both Thai and English, written and spoken, with the confidence to negotiate and present to overseas clients.
- Solid computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for preparing documents, sales reports, charts, and presentations.
- Strong strategic thinking and consultative selling skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
- Customer-oriented mindset, combined with strong teamwork, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with sound judgment in commercial decision-making.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage credit control, collections, and multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
