Our client is a global leader in electrical and industrial distribution, supply chain solutions, and advanced logistics. With more than a century of expertise and operations in over 50 countries, it provides essential products and services to businesses worldwide. Its innovative business unit supports leading semiconductor manufacturers with solutions for power, automation, safety, and operational efficiency. Building on primary production facilities in North America, the company has established its first manufacturing site in Thailand. It is now seeking a Customs & Logistics Coordinator to help ensure compliant, timely cross-border trade and delivery.

The Customs & Logistics Coordinator is a key member of the Operations Team. This hands-on role requires practical responsibility for customs clearance, Thai import/export procedures, licensing, and accurate trade documentation, alongside branch operations and administration. You will work closely with customs brokers, authorities, and supply chain partners to keep shipments compliant and on schedule. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage inventory-control processes, including recordkeeping, report generation and updates, cycle counts, and shipment-date and order-status verification.
  • Process return authorizations and credit memos, inspecting returned materials through final disposition.
  • Investigate tax and freight claims, coordinating with financial services to achieve timely resolution.
  • Support core accounting activities, including accounts receivable and payable, invoice approvals, and credit memo processing.
  • Produce accurate reports on tax, manual sales orders, fleet, and security activities.
  • Maintain site security and upkeep; coordinate equipment maintenance and supplies; and support health, safety, and monthly OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Resolve internal customer concerns promptly through effective corrective action.
  • Own customs clearance for cross-border shipments: prepare, check, and maintain Thai import/export and licensing documentation; coordinate with customs brokers, authorities, and supply chain partners; and resolve issues to keep shipments compliant and on time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Hands-on customs experience is required: at least 3 years of practical experience in Thai customs clearance, import/export operations, customs documentation, licensing, and cross-border shipments. General logistics or administration experience alone is not sufficient.
  • Proven ability to coordinate effectively with customs brokers, customs authorities, freight forwarders, and other supply chain partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Thai and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • Working knowledge of administrative and clerical processes and terminology.
