Our client is a leading bakery and food manufacturing company with a strong international presence, specializing in premium bakery products. They serve clients in the retail, food service, hospitality, and professional customers across global markets. Our client combines traditional French craftsmanship with modern production capabilities to deliver high-quality bakery products to customers worldwide. They are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Cost Controller to oversee inventory control and manufacturing cost monitoring.

INVENTORY COST CONTROLLER – MANUFACTURING

The Inventory Cost Controller will oversee inventory control and manufacturing cost monitoring. The role will work closely with Warehouse, Plant and Finance teams to ensure inventory accuracy, identify cost variances and support monthly/year-end financial reporting. This will involve the following key responsibilities: 

• Monitor and control inventory levels and stock movement across raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate recording of all stock movements in the system.
• Control stock adjustments and investigate inventory discrepancies and variances, identify root causes and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure system inventory quantities and values reconcile with physical stock.
• Lead monthly and annual physical stock counts.
• Perform month-end inventory processing and reconciliation, identifying and investigating variances.v
• Work closely with the Plant Manager and Finance Manager to monitor cost of goods manufactured.
• Analyse manufacturing cost discrepancies and prepare variance reports.
• Prepare monthly manufacturing cost closing reports.
• Support annual budgeting and cost forecasting activities.
• Assist with monthly and annual financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 year of accounting, cost control, inventory accounting, or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with inventory reconciliation, stock taking and inventory adjustments.
• Experience in manufacturing cost control, including cost of goods produced, cost variance analysis and manufacturing cost reporting.
• Experience supporting month-end/year-end closing, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of inventory valuation and accounting principles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse inventory and cost data.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines and investigate discrepancies systematically.
• Proficient in both Thai and English communication (written and verbal).
