Head of Finance and Controlling - Consumer Electronics

Our client is a multinational luxury home appliance manufacturer consistently ranked one of the world’s largest appliance brands selling under a variety of brands globally. Established in Europe, our client has regularly expanded through merger and acquisitions and currently is a market leader in the large and small home appliance categories globally. The company is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join them.

The Head of Finance and Controlling will report to the company’s CFO and manage the Finance and Controlling process of our client’s Thailand business operations as follows:

• Establish and execute the financial strategies by focusing on the Company’s business direction.
• Oversee annual financial budget, capital expenditures, liquidity and cash flow management to maintain efficient working capital and minimize financial risks.
• Enhance financial performance by reviewing, forecasting and analyzing.
• Optimize financial systems, including accounting procedures, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks, to maximize value delivery across all stakeholder groups.
• Manage and direct the team to ensure high proficiency of all staff and to be able to deliver daily financial and accounting operations with compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
• Collaborate closely with management and other departments to implement business initiatives and to achieve significant operational efficiencies.
• Coordinate with Sales department to provide internal reports to ensure that the company is on track with plans and strategies.
• Maintain effective relationships with external auditors, consultants, tax office, bank, and all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure the execution of risk management strategies, limits of authority, budgeted costs, and cost controls initiatives are followed and applied.
• Support a variety of ad hoc financial projects and strategic business initiatives as assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications:

• Qualified to a Bachelor’s or a Masters (preferred) in Accounting/ Finance Management, with certification in accounting and taxation is a plus.
• 10+ years of Financial Controlling experience in a multinational company.
• 5+ years of strong experience with SAP Finance and Controlling modules.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken), with a diplomatic and articulate communication style.
• Extensive knowledge of the setting of budgets, financial reporting and analysis, accounting principles and practices, loan management, internal control, and taxation.
• Excellent critical thinking skills with comprehensive understanding of business management strategies and consultation.
• Highly detail- and data-oriented with the ability to make sound, data-driven judgement and decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as a team.
